Elementary Principal Position for 2017-2018

JOB DESCRIPTION

Direct and manage instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:    

Education/Certification:

Master’s degree in educational administration Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate At least 2 years experience

 

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to coordinate campus functions
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to interpret data
  • Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Position:  Secondary Math and/or Science Teacher (possible coaching responsibilities)

Deadline for applications:  2017–2018 position; until filled

Purpose:  Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic area(s) assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.  Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Qualifications:   -       Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

  •  Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or training for subject

 and level assigned

  • Demonstrated competency in core academic subject area assigned

Special Knowledge/Skills:  - Knowledge of core academic subject assigned

           -  Knowledge of curriculum and instruction

            -  Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

           -  Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:  - One year student teaching or approved internship

                        -  Teaching experience preferred
